In memory of our brother, Raymond I will miss our daily calls and the sound of your voice. I will miss hearing you pause with emotion when speaking of the ones we have loved and lost, When I would tell you to go ahead and cry it out. I will miss your laughter as you spoke of childhood memories, Of how bad Mama Frances' hard cornbread was and how Daddy Daniel found a way to make something palatable with it that he called cush. I will miss you telling me about the heartaches you experienced in your life, Along with the joys and the love of being a father to two strong men, Shondale and Leon, And going to Woodbury to visit your grandchildren. And how happy you were when you talked to your big brothers, Jim and Bill. And when Ben would come over with fried chicken wings. And when you would hear the lawnmower and Jeff would be cutting your grass. And your appreciation for your roommate, Grandpa, who would insist on taking you to the hospital when you really needed to go. And I will certainly miss your I love you at the end of every conversation we ever had. Just sleep a little while. I know that in Jehovah's due time, He will wake you up. You will have a new strong heart that will never stop beating. Then, we will all be together again.

To the Family of Raymond Muse, My prayers are with you. Raymond and I attended Holloway High together in 1966 and 1967. We became good friends and had some fun times. The last time I saw him was at Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Smyrna, TN. We briefly talked about old times and serving God. I would like to share a poem with you, don’t know the author but I thought you like it; When I’m Gone When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile
Just forget if you can that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile.
Forget unkind words I have spoken
Remember some good I have done.
Forget that I have ever had heartaches
And remember I’ve had loads of fun.
Forget I’ve stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way.
Remember that I have fought some hard battles,
And won, ere the close of the day.
Then forget the grief for my going
I would not have you sad for a day.
But, in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay,
And come in the shade of the evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west.
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best.
Yours in His Name
