Although I never had the privelege of knowing Ms Patterson I have been extremely fortunate to know her daughter Ms Mary Watkins. I want Ms Mary to know how much I care about her and that I will be praying for her in the days to come. I was unable to attend the funeral due to a previous church commitment but I hope Ms Mary could feel my prayers. Ms Mary I feel like I knew your mother because of the wonderful daughter she had and I know she must have been very proud of the caring compassionate child she raised. God bless you as you go through this season of grief and if I can help in any way please give me a call. Love Terri

There are really no words that can be spoken to soften the sorrow or lessen the loss that is felt from losing someone close to us. At the passing of a loved one, those that are left behind feel a profound sense of sadness, emptiness, and grief for awhile. It's important to realize that our loved ones will always be with us. They live on in our hearts, in memories of their teachings, and in the lives of all who know them. They are very close to us in spirit, having only gone beyond the sound of our voices and the touch of our hands. While death brings sadness, we should also try to have a sense of joy for the loved one who enters into a "new home."
