Obituary:
Ruby Mae Brown (Mae) was born on May 8, 1922 in Rutherford County, Tennessee to George W. Wade and Geneva Coleman Wade. Ruby made her transition on February 19, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center where she was surrounded by family.

She was a life long member of Key Memorial United Methodist Church. Ruby attended Bradley Academy and was a graduate of Holloway High School. She completed cosmetology training at Nashville School of Cosmetology. Ruby was later employed as a hair tech at Lady Beautiful Salon and worked there for 23 years. She also was an accomplished seamstress and took great pride in her work.

Ruby and Wash were married 46 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wash; mother, Geneva Wade; daughter, Barbara F. Grissom; sister, Geneva Lee Wade; brother, George W. Wade, Jr.; aunt, Mary Weatherly; grandson, Ricardo M. Adams and granddaughter, Vonda K. Adams.

She is survived by her daughter, Thenartis Ellis; granddaughters, Philon Ellis, Dana Terry, Ondria Abrams of Murfreesboro, TN; and Lavon Grissom of Lavergne, TN, grandsons, Terrell Ellis, Labresieo Bass of Murfreesboro, TN; great grandchildren, Tanita White of Memphis, TN; Nicholas (Tonya) Ellis, Brittany Johns, Ashia Terry, Ricardo Terry, Graylon Miller, Braxton and Jaxyn Lucinski, great-great grandchildren, Marricus Ellis and Clarke Terry all of Murfreesboro, TN; nieces Bathsheba (Rick) Reed, College Grove, TN; Freda Freeman of Christiana, TN; great nieces and nephews, Marcus (Lori) Wade, Toshiba Wade of Murfreesboro, TN; D'Andre (Shareka) Wade of Franklin, TN. A special cousin, Ronald D. Weatherly of Riverbank, CA,caring family friends, Chauncey Smiley of Smyrna, TN; Margaret Frazier, Ethel Marable, Corrine Zorn, Peggy Mitchell, Carla Jones, Edgar Odom and Charles Johnson of Murfreesboro, TN and Linda and Jerry White of Smithville, TN along with many other relatives and friends.
