Mollie D. Bowling Bryson departed this life on January 1,2011. She was born January 11, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Tom Bowling and Daisy Martin Bowling. She was educated in the Cannon and Rutherford County Public Schools. She was married to the late William E. Bryson and to this union four children were born.

She confessed Christ at an early age in life and united with Bradley Creek Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend A.F. Murray. In 1954 she united with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend H.L. Jordan.

She was very active in the church serving in various capacities as Sunday School Teacher, member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Union Ministry, Usher Ministry, Mothers Ministry , Church Clerk, Reading Announcements, Hospitality Ministry and whatever else she
was asked to do.

In 2002 she moved to Nashville and united with Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of her son, Reverend Theodore H. Bryson. She was a devoted, loving, and caring mother and was always interested in what happened in the lives of her children.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Don E. Bryson and William H. Bryson and leaves to cherish her memory two children, loving daughter, Barbara (Christopher)Mitchell and devoted son, Pastor Theodore (Gloria) Bryson; daughter-in-law; JoAnn Bryson;
grandchildren, Christopher (Yasmine) Mitchell Jr., Maurice Mitchell, Theodore Bryson Jr., Kellessa Caruthers, William H. Bryson Jr., Eric (Nicole) Bryson, Shelly (Wil) Bryson-De Los Santos, Albany, New York, Dionna Bryson of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren, Javier Gibson, Enyssa Bryson, Markiah Knox-Bryson, Markela Caruthers, Eric Bryson Jr . and Christopher Edward Mitchell and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, many cousins and devoted friends.
