Annie Rowena "Granny" McKnight was born March 3, 1919 in Rutherford County, Tennessee to the late Stonewall Bradberry and Novella Sanders. She departed this life December 3, 2010 at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. "Hoot" McKnight. She confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age at Bradley Creek Missionary Baptist Church, where later on in life, she became a devoted member of the Mothers Board. She received her education in the Rutherford County School System.

On August 15, 1935 Annie Rowena united in Holy Matrimony to Thomas A. "Hoot" McKnight. To this union, thirteen children were born. Three infant children and one daughter, Dorothy "Dot" Lyons preceded "Granny" in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey and Winston Bradberry, one sister, Clara B. Sneed and one grandson, Michael Ivy.

Rowena leaves a devoted family to cherish her memories: five daughters and four sons, Henry (Wordna) McKnight of Murfreesboro, Frank (Pearl) McKnight, Sr., Nathan (Shirley) McKnight, all of Milton, Gleen (JoAnne) McKnight, Sr. of Murfreesboro, Juanita Ivy of Cleveland, OH, Betty Randolph of Nashville, Josephine (Willie) Williams of Cleveland, OH., Novella (Wilson) Martin of Milton and Mechell Newsom of Murfreesboro. She will be remembered by twenty-one grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren; a devoted brother-in-law, James Neal McKnight of Milton; her sister, Cora A. Mount of Detroit, MI; devoted friend and roommate, Mrs. Kathleen Gilly; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
