Alf McClain, Jr. was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on August 25, 1950 to Alf McClain, Sr. and Callie E. McClain. He transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on January 26, 2021.

Alf was one of a kind. He had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. If you ever met him, you would never forget him. He was a man of many talents, including martial arts, drawing, cooking and making his special hot sauce. There was nothing he could not do or fix. Most of all, Alf was known for his fashion. He was even crowned King at the Red and Black Holloway Reunion. He loved dressing up from his head to his feet. There wasn't a color in the crayon box that he did not have in his wardrobe of suits.

Alf was a member of the Exclusive Click Social Club. He loved being the life of the party. He also loved riding his bike with his outfit to match. He loved being the starter at the motorcycle races at the Kentucky Derby. However, nothing could surpass the love that he had for his children, his family, and his dog "Lady."

Alf was preceded in death by his father, Alf McClain, Sr.; mother, Callie E. McClain; and son, Jason McClain.

He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Jennifer "Tangi" McClain, Carly Jones, Sherry (Kelly) Harding and Cheraille (Rodney) Wade; siblings, Karl (Katrina) McClain, Vonnie (James) McClain, Valerie (Donald) Byrd and Sherry Ann Overton; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six nieces and, nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

In efforts to be in compliance with the regulations of the CDC guidelines, mask are required upon entry of the building and temperatures will be checked at the door. This is for the safety of our community as well as our funeral home staff.
