Obituary:
Lorine Lanier-Jackson was born on April!7, 1944 in Rover, Tennessee to the late Robert M. Lanier and Viola Perry Lanier. She transitioned from this earthy life to eternal life on January 15,2021 at the "Glen Oaks Nursing Home" in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

Lorine accepted Christ at an early age and joined Popler Grove AME Church in Rover, Tennessee along with her family. Lorine attended Bedford High School which is now known as Harris High School where she graduated and went on to attend college.

She worked for "The TOPS" and when the company moved their offices to Nashville she remained a loyal employee and continued to work there until her health failed and she retired.

Lorine was united in holy matrimony to Joseph Jackson and to this union God blessed them with a devoted son, Monti. Lorine and her family moved to Nashville and she joined the Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church and she worked in the Church as their Secretary until her health began to fail. Lorine and Joe loved going to Church and afterwards going out to eat with their friends. Lorine loved listening to gospel and R& B music. Her husband Joe departed this life on October 13, 20 II.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Hoyte; and her baby sister, Betty Louise Lanier.

Lorine leaves to cherish her memory: her loving son, Monti (a devoted daughter-in-law Jackie) Jackson; three granddaughters, Monique, Montia and Monica Jackson; two great-grandsons, Montavious and Zyreon Jackson; one sister, Ann Ransom of New York; two brothers of Cleveland, Ohio, Robert (Pocohontas) Lanier and Waymon (Clara) Lanier; one sister-in-law, Josephine Jackson of Nashville, Tennessee; a devoted nephew, Steve Ransom of Shelbyville, Tennessee; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
