Tommy Lee Butler, age 71 transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on December 17, 2020. He was born to the late Thomas and Susie Mai Butler.

Tommy attended school in the Rutherford County School System. He worked various jobs in his life. But the two he loved the most was working for the Lord and working on trucks and cars. His hobbies were fishing, working on cars and trucks, and watching the Discovery Channel.

He was a member of Rockvale Original Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Jimmy Tyson, where he later became a Deacon. He was faithful until his health began to fail. He was employed with Rollins Truck for many years and later Penska Truck Repair until his retirement due to his health.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, James and Gilbert Butler.

Tommy is survived by his son, Michael Butler of Tennessee; granddaughter, Aaliyah Butler; sister, Evelyn Phillips; brother, Wilbert Butler of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; niece, Yolanda (Reverend Megale) Smith; nephew, James Butler Jr. of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; great nephew, Brock Smith; one great-great nephew, Quintin; two great-great nieces, Aaliyah and Mariah; aunt, Lousia Phillips of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; devoted friends, Mr. Robert Brown, John Patterson and Ms.Daisy Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
