Jesse L. Fletcher, Sr. was born June 28, 1944 to the late Louise V. McGill Fletcher and the late John L. Fletcher, Sr. He transitioned from this earthly life on November 30,2020.

He professed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Cedar Grove A.M.E Church. He was a faithful and active member of the New Webb Grove A.M.E Church under the current leadership of Pastor LaVan Strickland.

His education began in Christiana, Tennessee and ended at Holloway High School. Being an avid sportsman, he was captain of the football team and one that truly loved his class of '63.

Jesse joined the Army and the National Guard, serving his country for 25 years.

Jesse had many jobs over the years but retired from Bridgestone Tires. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas David Fletcher McGill.

Jesse leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Janet Fletcher of 40 years; three sons, Jesse (Feleica) L. Fletcher Jr. of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Kenneth (Chevelle) Fletcher of Lebanon, Tennessee and Sean Williams of Shelbyville, Tennessee; two daughters, Patrice (Harold) Kennedy of Nashville, Tennessee and Tresa (Neal) Carney of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; eight sisters, Deloise (Robert) Bishop of Lewisburg, Tennessee, Harrietta Whitaker and Fannie Covington both of Nashville, Tennessee, Linda Faye Phillips of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Mary Louise, Dawn, Debra and Opal Mai Fletcher all of Nashville, Tennessee; seven brothers, Harry (Bessie) Fletcher of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, James (Victoria) Fletcher of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Charles Fletcher of Lebanon, Tennessee, T. Howard (Shirley), Robert (Elizabeth) Edward and David (LaToya) Fletcher all of Nashville, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.
