Caruthers was born November 27, 1925 to Joe Abb and Della Dorris Wilson Scales. She was one of twelve siblings. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Thursday, November 12,2020.
Mother Addie was employed with the Rutherford County Food Bank and the Domestic Violence Center.
She was a member of Brandon Chapel where she served on the Usher Board and later served on the Mother's Board until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, George, Thomas Houston, Robert, John, William, Joe Frank, Beulah, Eula, Irene, Christine, and James; her husband, Mose Caruthers; and granddaughter, Lakisha Caruthers.
Mother Addie leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Mamie Johnson, Mary B. Frazier, Hazel (Larry) Johnson, Sadie (James) Smith, Alice Thompson, Jo-Ann Bryson and Veronica (Mike) Mann; sons, Charlie (Ann) Frazier, Earl (Victoria) Caruthers and Michael Caruthers; thirty- three grandchildren; numerous, great and great-great grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. In efforts to be in compliance with the regulations of the CDC guidelines, mask are required upon entry of the building and temperatures will be checked at the door. This is for the safety of our community as well as our funeral home staff. |
