Obituary:
Marquice Terrell Morris was born in Nashville, TN on November 23, 1989 to Patrick Morris, Sr. and the late Evelyn Morris. Marquice was one of eight children, and he was the next to youngest of the group. He departed this life November 7, 2020 at Saint Thomas West Hospital. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy Morris and Evelyn Spence. Marquice spent most of his childhood and adult life growing up in Murfreesboro, TN. He attended Oakland High School and moved on to graduate from Riverdale High School in 2008.

Anyone who really knew him, knew him as 'Kudu' and knew he always had a huge Kool-Aid smile on his face anywhere he went. He was employed at Mahle Filter Systems North America, Inc. where he worked as a forklift driver prior to being diagnosed with cancer. He was an outstanding athlete and was involved in many sports throughout his lifetime. During high school he focused on Track and Field where he won many awards as a member of the Riverdale Track and Field team. Marquice participated in many events that led him to compete in numerous state level competitions his best being the 4 x 400 meter relay.

He met his wife during his high school years at Riverdale and both were extremely competitive Track and Field athletes. They were good friends and upon her graduation from college in 2014 he and his wife have made beautiful memories together. They pledged their love to each other on July 20, 2019 in Pensacola Beach Florida and have been inseparable from day one.

They kept their vows until death parted them hand in hand. He and his wife spent their years together traveling, seeing the world and creating unforgettable memories that some never get a chance to do in a lifetime. They always told people they do things "The Morris Way." He loved to hike, spend time with his dad and Grandma Jessie, whom he adored dearly. His favorite thing to do was cook for them on Sundays because he loved to grill out. He possessed the ability to put a smile on the faces of everyone he met. He was so deeply loved by family and loyal friends especially "The Corner Boys" his crew from high school!

The legacy and memories he leaves will be cherished by: his devoted and loving wife, Laneisha Jare' Morris; father, Patrick Morris, Sr.: grandmother, Jessie Morris; four sisters: Shetika Spence, Tanika Woodard, Rachel Morris, She'a Ridley; three brothers: Terry Ward (LaShelter) Patrick Morris, Jr., Mau- rice Morris; mother-in-law, Dawana McDonald; father-in-law, Otis McDonald; brother-in-law, Janeal McDonald; five uncles: Jimmy Morris, Kenneth 'Corey' Morris, Sr., Bradley 'Rickey' Morris, Sr., John Spence, Albert Spence (deceased); god brothers, Travan Hill, Terrance-Cribbs-Lorrant, Tyler Verge, Tyeri Stallion; nine nieces; nine nephews; devoted friends: Kevin Herrin, Lawanda Barrett, William Sharp, DeAndre Maupins, Tevin Jones, John Thomison; and a host of other relatives and friends.
