Royce was born October 21, 1959 Springfield, Tennessee to Elder Dallas and Penny Sue Watkins-Green. He transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on November 2,2020.

Royce found the love of music at an early age and was encouraged by his parents to pursue his music. He graduated from Oakland High School in Rutherford County.

Royce was a faithful member of Faith Chapel Original Church of God, where his father and sister both served as pastors. He was the musician for his church until his health no longer allowed him to attend. Royce touched many lives through his ministry of music and his love for Jesus Christ. He played for various churches in Rutherford County. Whenever you called him to play, he could not say no, sometimes he would have 3 or 4 engagements in one day. Royce organized and played for the "Spiritual Ensemble" which he was very proud to be apart. Royce is preceded in death by his parents, Elder Dallas and Penny Sue Watkins-Green, his twin brother, Boyce L. Green, and sister, Dr. Linda A. Kennedy.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley D. Robinson-Green; loving son, Collin Boyce Green; brother, Jason Green; nieces, Tammy (Oscar) Kennedy-Miller, Tonnya (Evans) Kennedy-Kohns, Toni Kennedy-Forbes, Taylor Kennedy, Briana Green and Lindsey Robinson-
