Obituary:
Rodney Harrison Benford was born in Rutherford County on September 17, 1965 to the late Myra and Miller T. Benford. He transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Wednesday, October 14,2020.

He was educated in the Rutherford County School System and a graduate of Riverdale High School in 1984.

He loved to ride his bicycle.

Rodney accepted Christ at an early age and joined Webb Chapel AME Church. He was an employee of Middle Tennessee State University for 32 years and recently retired.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Kelvin, Glenda, Wanda, Sherrie, Thelma Benford and Evelyn Marlene Woods.

Rodney leaves to cherish his memory, loving brothers, Melvin Benford of Louisville, Kentucky, Samuel (Shaun) Benford of Lebanon, Tennessee, Reginald Benford, Phil and Tommy L. Sanders of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; loving sisters, Patricia A. (Joe) Smith of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Teresa Benford of Nashville, Tennessee, Cassandra Benford, Regina Williams, Brenda and Corrine Sanders of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Chrystal White and Tracy Dunaway; uncles, Clarence and Joe (Margaret) Benford of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; aunts, Willie Mai Avent, Marie Benford-Butler of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Joann Henderson of Louisville, Kentucky and Margaret (Billy) McKinley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a host of many devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
