Karen LeFlouria was born on December 16, 1950 in Ypsilanti, MI to Eissie and Maggie Malone Johnson, She was the sixth of seven children. As a child and teenager, she showed a great interest in track and field, music and singing.

Karen graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1969. In 1971, she met and married Jesse James LeFlouria in 1971 at Metropolitan Memorial Baptist Church in Ypsilanti, MI. As a result of this union, three children were born: Erik Ramon LeFlouria, Tiffany DeShaun LeFlouria and Jesse James LeFlouria, Jr. The family relocated to Murfreesboro, TN in 1982.

Karen was a dedicated employee with General Mills/Pillsbury for over 20 years. She touched many people and was a faithful friend, while working there.

She was a member of Rockvale Independent Original Church of God with Elder Jimmy L. Tyson, as the pastor. There, she sang in the women's choir and gave her time as a volunteer to various activities, whenever she was called upon. She also sang in the Rutherford Mass Praise Choir in Murfreesboro, TN.

The Lord called Karen home on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 11:40 a.m. at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James LeFlouria; her twin brother, Kenneth Johnson; her brother, Ronald Johnson and her sister, Margie Armstrong.

She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Jean Harris and Shirley Johnson; brother, Eissie Johnson, Jr.; sons, Erik LeFlouria and Jesse James "Jimmy" LeFlouria; daughter, Tiffany LeFlouria; five grandchildren, Daylen Elvington, Skyler Bowen, Erika LeFlouria, Braylon LeFlouria and Aniah LeFlouria and many other relatives and friends.
