Obituary:
Catherine "Cathy" Grant was born to William Douglas and Facie Lee Puckett on August 28, 1960 in Rutherford County. She gained her wings on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 4:29 PM.

Cathy attended school in Eagleville, Tennessee and graduated from Riverdale High School in 1979. After high school, Cathy worked in the healthcare field. She absolutely loved taking care of people. She then went on to work for Whirlpool for a very long period of time.

When Dell came to Tennessee, she was chosen to start the Nashville plant location. She, along with many others, had to travel to Texas to live and train for about 6 weeks. This was her first plane ride and her first time ever being away from her family. She took many plane rides after that. Cathy worked at Dell until she became disabled in 2006.

Catherine joined Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church early in life. She was very dedicated. She was a member of the Usher Board and served as long as she could. She attended Sunday School and Bible Study as often as she could. She participated in the Stones River District Missionary Baptist Association Mission Ministry. Cathy loved taking her grandchildren to church, she loved her church, loved doing things for other people, she loved her Dallas Cowboys, soap opera and numbers. She was always found giving of her time, talent, and treasure. Cathy was truly a PHENOMENAL woman.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Facie Lee Puckett; father, William Douglas Puckett, Sr.; and sister, Alice L. Puckett.

Catherine leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband, Calvin L. Grant; daughters, Latasha (Tony) Puckett and Latoya (Byron) Huddleston; adopted son, Deon Puckett; grandchildren, Rayshawn, Da'corian, Ashton, Hunter, Jesse, Re'trese, Malachi, Maleah, Genesis, Dekota, Romel, Messiah and Yoshiyah; special grandchildren, Tyvon, Ty'onna and Tykerion; devoted brother and best friend, Orlando Jordan; brothers, William and Aaron Puckett; one aunt, Maggie Frazier; sister-in-law, Ida Woods; brothers-in-law, Mitchell (Cindy), Darryl, Earl, and Kenneth Grant; and a host of nieces, cousins, and other relatives.
