"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: They are the charming gardeners who make our soul blossom. "

On October 3, 1983, a beautiful flower blossomed. Danielle Denise Shaw was born in Nashville, Tennessee to her loving parents, Winston Shaw Jr. and Anethia Delane Russell. Danielle entered eternal rest peacefully at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on August 4, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Danielle confessed hope in Christ at an early age in life. Later she joined First Baptist Church on Castle Street under the pastoral guidance of Pastor James McCarroll.

Danielle attended Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She later transferred to Stratford High School in Nashville, Tennessee, where she graduated in 2002.

Danielle was a loving and caring person. She also had sass and spunk like no other. Danielle embodied what it means to be a strong, black woman.

Through her battle with Lupus, she faced many challenges, but through it all, she kept her faith in Jesus Christ. Danielle exemplified a passion for children through her love and fierce devotion to her son, "KJ". She also dearly loved all of her nieces and nephews inside and outside of her family.

Danielle was always happy, and her smile and laughter would light up the room. She was fun, vibrant, engaging, and inviting, which was displayed through her love of music and dancing. Her vitality was also the source of her love and dedication to her family and friends. They were her greatest joys in life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anethia Delane Russell; grandfather, Fred Nance, Sr.; and her grandmother, Maggie Shaw.

Danielle leaves to cherish her memory her very devoted and loving son, Karl Moore Jr. "KJ"; very devoted father, Winston (Annie Margaret) Shaw Jr.; brothers, Deion (Denise) Shaw and DaJuan Shaw; stepbrothers, VonQuintis Smith and Akeem Seay; stepsister, Lawasha (Darion) Corder; grandparents, Winston (Arminnie) Shaw, Sr. and Shelia Nance; devoted cousin, Alona Stafford; faithful friends, Karetha Ramsey-Terry, Danielle Townshend and Shanette Cheatum; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
