Diane "Poochie" Smith was born to the late Charles Smith, Sr and Sallie Bell Smith on July 27, 1957 in Rutherford County. She gained her wings on Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Diane attended school in Eagleville, Tennessee and graduated from Riverdale in 1976. She later became a licensed beautician. She joined Cedar Grove PB Church at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Hayes. She continued to serve her church.

Poochie loved to cook chicken and dressing, sweet potatoes, fried pies, do hair, and give to whomever- whenever! Poochie was the EPITOME of LOVE and giving.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Smith Jr; father, Charles Smith, Sr.; and grandson, Malcom Smith.

Diane leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband, Charles Perry; daughters, Ramanda (Tony) Smith-Holliday and Torrocco Smith; grandchildren, Steven Crutchfield, Amanda Watson and Liyah Smith; great grandchildren, Lil Steven, Jada, Thaddeus, Shawn, JayJen, Makenzie, Isaiah, Amaiyah, Leilah, Kendrick, Kylie, Logan, Ariah, Na'Kayia, Esteban, Kadin and Montolio; mother, Sallie Bell Smith; sister, Mary B. (Raymond) Peebles; brothers, Larry and Wayne Smith; god daughter, Quianna Knox; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, three aunts, two uncles, other relatives and friends.
