Hattie Almeta Haynes was born February 4, 1940 to the late Henry and Addlaide Jackson in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She transitioned peacefully to her eternal home on September 26, 2019 at the age of 79.

Hattie was a graduate of Holloway High School Class of 1958. She was employed at Paramount Packing for over 20 years. She became a member of Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Carl Blackman.

Hattie was such a friendly person. She was kindhearted and had such a sweet demeanor. She never met a stranger. Everywhere she went she always ran into someone she knew. She always had time and love to give. The time to say hello and loved to see how you were doing. Hattie loved her family so much. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Haynes; two sisters, Esther Lawrence and Buelah Jackson; and one niece, Kimberley Fraizer.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted daughter, Benita Martin; grandchildren, Edgar Martin Jr., Jennifer Monique Martin, Taquella Martin and Elexia Martin; great grandchildren, Dequasia Benford and
Tyqueria Benford; brothers-in law, Acie Lawrence and Byrd Haynes; sisters-in-law, Mary Johnson and Faye Haynes; nephews, James Jackson and Kenneth Lawrence; nieces, Donna (Larry) Abrams, Sandra Lawrence, Regina Lawrence, Deborah Hughes, Sonia Akins, Trina (Ricky) Smith and Tamika Jones; 12 great nieces, 13 great nephews, 18 great great nieces, 7 great great nephews and 1 great great great nephew; special friends, John Carney, Cherilyn Moton, Anna M. Carruthers, Emma Gooch, Eugene Martin, Wilma Batey, Thelma Malone, Tameka Northington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
