Obituary:
Deacon Aaron "Mr. Mac" McCroskey Sr. was born August 18, 1937 in Bedford County to the late Earlie and Madie Sutton McCroskey. He was the second child of ten children. Deacon McCroskey departed this life with a strong faith in God on September 19,2019.

He is a graduate of Holloway High School, class of 1957, where he played football and ran track.

He was employed by H.G. Hills as a truck driver and later Metro Schools System at Dodson Elementary as a custodian for 31 years. He was affectionately known as Mr. Mac and gained the respect of the children and teachers as a disciplinarian. After a brief retirement from Metro School System, he decided to work alongside his wife at Boulevard Terrace.

Deacon McCroskey was married to his devoted wife, Mother Kathryn Louise Wade McCroskey for 53 years. When you saw one you saw the other. To this union three sons and one daughter was blessed into a loving Christian home.

Deacon McCroskey is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Louise McCroskey; sons, Pastor Delbert Donnell (Linda) Wade and Bishop Aaron McCroskey Jr.; brothers, Cecil McCroskey, Lee A. McCroskey, Walter McCroskey and Earl McCroskey Jr.; sister, Linda McCroskey.

His memory. will be cherished most by his son, Douglas Ezell (LaBora) McCroskey; daughter, Minister Felicia Anne McCroskey (George) Wade; daughter-in-law, Minister Deniece McCroskey;grandchildren, Qjane Hale, Dustin Jerome Wade, Quinton (Brianne) McCroskey, Minister Dernetria

McCroskey, MIa Wade, Carlos Wade, Minister Adrian (Seika) McCroskey, Minister Darian (Sierra) McCroskey and Elijah McCroskey; two great grandchildren he loved, Kathryn Aliva and Charles Douglas; brothers,
Allen (Linda) McCroskey and David McCroskey; sisters, Patricia Chaney, Emojene Sneed and Helen (Roger) Johnson; Brother-in-law, George (Annette) Wade, Sr.; Sisters-in-law, Linda McCroskey and Loretta McCroskey; two aunts, Marie Marshall and Janie Winfrey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; special friend to the family, Vanessa Hill.
