Brother Austin Friedman Holman, Sr. was born to the union of the late Mr. Austin B. Holman and the late Mrs. Virginia Chaffin Holman on August 1, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee where he was also raised. In March of 1965 Brother Austin fell in love and married Ms. Louvenia Dudley, and to their union three children were born, they were married 54 years; later in life he had another son, all of his children were the love of his life.

On Saturday, August 3, 2019 the Lord decided to call Brother Austin Freidman Holman, Sr. from labor to reward, at the Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

After matriculating from elementary school and graduating from high school, in Nashville, Tennessee he attended college, after college, he decided to enlist into the United States Navy on January 26, 1959 and retired March 15, 1978 after twenty years of service in the Navy, he was ranked an E-6; after then he moved into a career of law enforcement and became a Police Officer for the Franklin, Tennessee Police Department and also became a K-9 Police Dog Trainer for more than five years; he later became employed with the United States Post Office and retired after many years of service. Brother Holman, Sr. decided to help people by working maintenance and electrical jobs after retiring, he could fix or repair anything mechanical or electrical once he set his mind to repair it. He had a great passion for motorcycles, weaponry, swimming, boating, fishing and bowling. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends whom he loved to joke with.

In February of 2016 Brother Austin decided to give his life to Christ and became a member of New Greater Cathedral International Church of Nashville under the Pastoral and leadership of Chief Apostle Dr. Willie Robbins, Jr. "Brother Austin" was loyal, helpful and faithful until the Lord called him home. He had great love and respect for his Pastor and members of the Church. He also served as a Senior Deputy Chief to The Office of The World Chief Apostle, using his experience, knowledge and wisdom advising this special administration.

Brother Austin F. Holman, Sr. is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Austin B. Holman and Mrs. Virginia Holman, his beloved wife Louvenia Holman; brother John Holman, sister Patricia Ann Nixon; his daughter Kendra Holman, and stepson Kevin Dudley. He leaves to cherish his memory with four very devoted children, Patina Holman, Sherrie Holman (Malissa), Austin F. Holman, Jr. (Felicia), Austin F. Holman, III; seven zrandchildren, Zachary Feaster (Emily), Christopher Holman, Isaiah Holman, Saqqara Holman, Tyler Holman, Charles Stem, Parker Holman; one great-grandchild, Jacqueline Feaster; a long time friend and confidant Ms. Iris Denise Turner, and Mr. Charles "Chubby" Anderson, and Sarah Griggs; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
