Barbra Stein Gooch
Barbra Stein Gooch passed away early Monday morning, July 15,2019. She was born July 29, 1949 in Rutherford County, Tennessee,to the late Joe Ellis North and Magnolia White North. She liked being referred to as "Stein Baby" and "Mrs. Drop it Like its Hot".

Stein attended Cherry Grove Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the number 2 choir. Stein united with Olive Branch Church three years ago. Stein was "One of a Kind" She was honored as an "unsung hero" for her service for feeding people in the community.For over thirty years Stein cooked and catered by offering pick-up and delivery service. She was known for her creative hair styles. She loved her old school blues and soul music.

Stein was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Johnny White; sister,Alethia Buchanan; uncle, Lorenzo White, Fort Wayne, Indiana; and her aunt, Claire Mae Sneed, Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband, James Thomas Gooch; god-daughter, Autumn Harris;stepmother, Shellie North; eight brothers, Lorenzo North, William Alsup, Ricky (Kim) Alsup, Jimmy Freeman, Marvin North, Steven (Anna) North, Joseph (Mary) North and Richard North; even sisters,Felicia Whitaker, Tres Holmes, Karen North, Hope North, Marqaruite Laye, Cheryl (Steffanus) Jackson, Pamela North and Sabrina (Duan)Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, great grand nieces, nephews and cousins; three devoted friends, Penny Lyons, Joann Mosby and Emma Espy.
