Malachi Carmichael lll was born on November 28, 1947 to the late Mamie R and Malachi Carmichael Jr. Mike as he Wa13 affectionately nicknamed was the oldest son. Born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mike attended Howard High School. Mike enlisted in the US. Army at an early age. He received an honorable
discharge in the late 1960's. Mike was a member of the Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Chattanooga Tennessee. After the family moved to New York, Mike Was a member of Moore Memorial AME. Zion Church in the Bronx.

Mike's older sister Bettye Moss remained living in Chattanooga with her daughter Chanda Moss, handa's children Stazion and Jazlyn Goodlow. Mike lived in the Bronx with his mother Mamie, younger brothers and sisters, Lamonte, Winnie, Nathan and Terri Carmichael. In 1967 after a few years, Mike moved back to Chattanooga and got married to Annie Will. After a short time in 1971, Mike moved back to New York. Several years later he married Angela, his second wife. Mike worked at St. Barnabas Hospital as a Hydro Therapist. he was then employed at Montefiore hospital as an X-ray Technician. In 1998 Mike moved back to
Murfreesboro Tennessee where he me Mary Odom, his love until he passed, Mike's family values continued with Lasanaza White, Dee White who loved Mike and always called him Pop, Kierra White, Shawn and Tina, 9 great grandchildren. Mike is loved horn up North to down South. Mike worked at Yates a13 a custodian for six years before retiring in 2009.

Mike was loved by all his family in and around Murfreesboro. Mike enjoyed listeningto soul music with the likes of Cameo, Whispers, The Spinners, the Isley Brothers, Kool and the Gang and others.

Big Mike as he has been called by some leaves to cherish his memories brothers: Lamonte Carmichael, Nathan (Jacqueline) Carmichael. Sisters: Winnie

Grand Nephews: Eric Jr., Zachary, Sincere, Jayden, Moise Diego, Zion, Joseph, Jason, Ja'dell; Grand nieces: Jordan, Lana, Lauren, Angelle, Madison Morris, Raniyah Morris, Mia Monis, Evelyn Morris, Asha Cousins: Hattye, Portia, Naomi, Eva Morris, Noel Russell, Gerard Lee, Alford Lee, Fayanne Lee, Tamika Lee, Ruby' Donna, Debbie, LaToya, Duke, Charles Albert, Bernice of Detroit, Malcolm Jr., Tristan &' Tanisha.
