Elvis Stanley Jeffries was born December 25, 1957 in Holly Springs, Mississippi to the late Avant Jeffries Sr. and Clara Barksdale Jeffries. He was chosen to go home to be with the Lord on August 1,2018.

He received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior under his spiritual family at the McIntyre Missionary Baptist Church in Holly Springs, Mississippi. He continued his walk with Christ as a member of Middle Baptist Church Whitehaven in Memphis, Tennessee and finally Bethel Community Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Elvis graduated from Holly Springs High School and attended college at Mississippi Valley State University, where he was a member of the Marching and Jazz bands.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Pauline Elizabeth Adkins on June 20, 1981 in Holly Springs, Mississippi.

Elvis was an owner operator for United Van Lines/ Armstrong Relocation for more than 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Aubrey Jeffries and Avant Jeffries Jr.

His memory will live on in his loving wife, Pauline Jeffries of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; four daughters, April (Arthur III) Davis, Angel Jeffries of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Lakendra Jeffries and Catrenia Evans of Memphis, Tennessee; three sons, Xavier Jeffries of Holly Springs, Mississippi, Elvis (Dominique) Jeffries II of Southaven, Mississippi and Jordan Jeffries of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Corey Jeffries, Bryuana Evans of Memphis, Tennessee, Autumn Davis and Arthur Davis IV of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Elvis Jeffries III "13" of South Haven, Mississippi; one great-grandson, Kayden Hymon; seven sisters, Earlene (Lee Andrew) Stockard, Lillian Jones, Clara Lee Jeffries, Helen Marie House all of Holly Springs, Mississippi, Margaret Ann (John) Pomalee of Coffeeville, Mississippi, Carolyn Marie (George) Green of Atlanta, Georgia and Patricia Scott of Memphis, Tennessee; one brother, James Curtis (Juanita) Jeffries of Aurora, lllinois; and a host of other family members and friends that he inspired all over the country.
