On June 2, 2018, Heaven received another angel, Arthur Lee Davis Jr. He was a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle,
nephew, and friend. Arthur (known ,\S "June" "Paw Paw" "Junebug") was born on December 12, 1954 in Uriah; Alabama. He was the oldest of eight children of the late Arthur Sr. and Rachel Davis.

He was united in holy matrimony on October 20, 1978 to Sara A. Mims and from this union three mighty men of valor, Arthur III, Steven, and Jonathan were born.

Arthur was in fellowship with the Green Street Church of God Sanctified in Franklin, Tennessee. He was passionate in studying the Word of God and he faithfully committed to the ministry until his health began to fail. His faith gave him the strength to endure as a good soldier. Arthur was ordained as a Deacon under the leadership of Pastor Thessolonia Fondren Jr. Under the leadership of Pastor Dale Jones Sr. and Elder Demetrius Short, he continued to exemplify the characteristics of a Deacon found in I Timothy 3:12-13
which states, "Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. " He also served faithfully in outreach ministry and whatever his hands found to do, he did it with love. He was ready and willing to help anyone in need.

Arthur was a veteran in the United States Army. He had a great passion for driving. He started driving in high school as a school bus driver. Later in life, he drove limousines, dump trucks, and box trucks. His determination grew for driving which led him to obtain a certificate in Truck Driving on June 13, 2009, where he received his CDL. As an Over the Road driver, driving dry van, flat bed, and low boy trailers, he traveled throughout North America in a vast array of inclement weather.

Arthur was preceded in death by his sisters, Angela Hollinger and Frances Nell Fountain.

Arthur had a sweet spirit that will be fondly remembered and missed immensely by family and friends. Arthur's loving memory is cherished by his devoted and caring wife, Sara A. Davis; sons, Arthur (April) Davis III, Steven (Valerae) Davis and Jonathan Davis; three grandchildren, Autumn, Arthur IV, and Jackson; six sisters, Donna (Arthur) Watson of Repton, Alabama, Doris Watson of Monroeville, Alabama, Willard Davis
