Virginia Lee Womack Alexander passed away February 16, 2018 and was reunited with her husband on his birthday. Virglnia was a native of Wanen County Tennessee. She was born on March 25, 1933 to the late Ernest and Lucille Womack and was one of eight siblings.

Virginia married Paul Alexander and! moved to Woodbrury Tennessee; they were married for 53 years prior to his death. From that union they were
blessed with one daughter (Gina) and one granddaughter (Gennica).

Virginia was a stay at home mother until Gina began school; she then went to work as a teacher for the Head Start program. She was a gifted teacher who inspired her students to love learning. Virginia loved spending time with her family and traveling with family and friends. She also enjoyed attending Ladies Day events at other church congregations. The highlight of Virginia's life was the birth of her only grandchild, Gennica Alexandria
Greenlee. Some of Gennica 's favorite memories with "'Grand mommy'" was having girl talk while lying in bed, as well as, attending Ladies Day events.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Gina Alexander-Greenlee; granddaughter, Gennica Alexandria Greenlee; sister, Maggie McReynolds; brother, Franklin Womack (Loretta); sister-in-law, Margarete Owens; brothers-in-law, Joe Lester Sanders and Jimmy Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and godson, Larry Kelly.

Special Thanks to the team of Doctors and Nurses at Vandberbilt University and her personal! caregivers Lawanda Funches, Rits Williams and Julie Smith.
