A Time To Be Born
Sarah Louise Houston began her earthly journey on November 13, 1937, in Madison County, Alabama. God entrusted her earthly parents, the late Mrs. Ophelia Houston and Mr. Larkin Houston, who preceded her in death, with His precious gift, His Chosen Vessel, to train up and to rear in the admonition and love of The Lord. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. Sarah matriculated from high school in Madison County, Alabama. She later furthered her education in the field of nursing.

A Time To Die
After enduring sickness, she peacefully finished her journey on earth, on October 3, 2016 at her home. Sarah fought the good fight. She finished the race. She kept the faith.

A Time To Love
Sarah was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and caregiver. She had a special bond with her children, grandchildren, sisters and her brothers. Sarah was always the life of every family gathering as she loved to make her family and friends laugh as she greeted each of them with her contagious smile, laughter and soft spoken unique voice.

A Time To Serve
Sarah was called into the ministry on October 31, 1993. She founded Hands upon Hands Miracle Faith Temple of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Her passion was Out Reach Ministry. She was a beautiful person with a passion for people and life. She loved working in the vineyard and making disciples for Christ. Knowing that the harvest was plentiful, but the Laborerswere few, she persevered knowing there was a crown of righteousness stored up for her.

A Time To Mourn
Sarah was preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Williams; and two brothers, Pastor James Houston and J.P. Houston. Precious Memories will be cherished by her children, Carolyn Wallace, Antonio "Du'shunne" Brice of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Roderick (Sarah) Brice of Potwin, Kansas; four sisters, Minister Julia Mae Burks of Athens, Alabama, Mrs. Viletta Sims of Birmingham, Alabama, Ms. Bernice Houston of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Mrs. Hazel Surles of Huntsville, Alabama; two brothers, Mr. Major Houston and Mr. Wallace Houston of Huntsville, Alabama; four grandchildren who were The Joy of Her Life: Trevon, Anthony, Naomi and Dominick; special friends, Ms. Alma Burks of Huntsville, Alabama and Mr. Thomas Wilson of Nashville, Tennessee; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who are blessed to have known her.

A Time Of Peace
Sarah has left us and does not wish for us to continue to grieve, but rather, take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace and resting in the arms of our "Heavenly Father." We know "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8.

A Time Of Tribute (Family)
Sarah, the Master has called and you are much better. Until we meet again in the Spirit, we will always carry your love and your legacy in our hearts forever. God chose a Beautiful Rose from His garden. He knew you were tiring as you journeyed and rewarded you with eternal rest. Rest in Peace.
