She transitioned from this earthy life to eternal life on August 28,2016.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Silver Springs Missionary Baptist Church under Reverend McKinley. She has faithfully served under Pastor Roberson, Pastor Pope and Pastor Jones. She also fellowshipped with Brother Joseph Hamid at Believers Tabernacle, where she was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Betty retired from Crosslin Supply and also worked in many homes. Her hobbies were cooking, laughing and attending church. She was a devoted sister to all her siblings. Her favorite places were Kleer Vu and Ryan's Restaurants.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Brown; parents, Johnny and Lucille Harris; children, Eddy James, Sarah Bell, Jimmy Lee and David Lee; brothers, Buh, Cecil, Jim, Hollis and Richard Harris; sisters, Sarah, Mary and Amy; best friend, Mattie Lou Swader; granddaughter, Trevia Wynette Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memory devoted daughters, Lucy Mai Brown and Shirley A. (Jesse) Elder; sons, Reverend Jerry (Dorothy) and Richard Brown (Georgia Crawford); sister, Janie Frazier; brothers, Ernest (Mary) Harris and Will "Bud" Harris; nieces, Gail (Rutherford) Stone, Marie Malone, Ella Martin; nephews, Peter Johnson, Baby Reed, Charles Harris; 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; devoted friends, Ernest Elder and William Puckett; and a host of family and friends. |
