Mrs. Nannie Louise Sneed was born on October 11,1935 to the union of Dave Ivy Sr. and Bessie Emma Susie Wade Ivy in the Rutherford County Community. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at NHC Nursing Home.

Nannie was employed with General Electric, where she served until she retired. Nannie also was a caretaker and loved her siblings. She was the third of sixteen siblings, Joe Frank, Dave Jr., John R. (Chuddy), John Henry, Fred, Gladys, Bud, Charles, Shirley, Mack, and Calvin, whom preceded her in death. She was married to Arthur Robert Sneed Sr., for 39 years, whom preceded her in death in September of 1994.

Nannie professed hope in Christ at an early age at Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Jordan. During her dedicated tenure at Walnut Grove, she served on the Culinary Committee, the Mothers Board, Usher Board and a choir member.

Nannie's favorite past times were baking and fishing.

Nannie leaves to cherish her loving memories, son, Arthur Robert (Vonnie) Sneed, Jr.; granddaughter, Ivy R. Sneed; grandsons, Antonio Sneed, Marcus Malone and Marc Benford; fifteen great grandchildren; devoted great grandchildren, Dymonique, Savannah and Asia Smith; four great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Cornell Bingham, Peggy Kaiser of Cleveland, Ohio and Rosie (Tommy) Vaughn; one brother, Bobby (Alice) Ivy; devoted cousin and friend, Lorene Richardson; devoted friends, Mrs. Annie Zackery, Mrs. Idalene Hughes, and Mrs. Mary E. Patterson; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
