Sadie Pearl Scales, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side. Sadie was born April 28, 1922 in Kirkland, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Eunice Jones and Mary Covington Jones.

She received her education in the Williamson and Davidson County School System. Sadie thoroughly enjoyed the "country life". She loved being outdoors, working in the yard, feeding the chickens and watering
the cows but most of ALL, she loved and adored her family. Sadie professed her faith in Christ at an early age and united with Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Thomas Houston Scales, she was preceded in death by her great grandchild, Kendrick Patton; five sisters, Mammie Edwards, Elizabeth Patton, Fannie Crawford, Bula Polk and Eula Johnson; brother, Walter B. Covington, and foster brother, William B. Covington.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Della (Larry) Nelson and Denise (Arte') Wallace; three grandchildren, Vanessa (Fred) Martin, Amy (Chris) Harper and Adrian Wallace; seven great grandchildren, Justin (Paris) Pinkerton, Desmond Martin, Denzel Martin, Everette "Tae'" Patton, Dejuan Martin, Keiron
Patton, and Jadyn Harper; one sister, Willie Mai Jordan; a devoted former son-in-law, James "Jimmy" Pinkerton; two brothers-in-law, Leslie Polk and Clifton Johnson; sisters-in-law, Addie B. Caruthers, Anna Lee Johnson and Tenola Scales; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
