Winnie Webb was born November 29, 1931. She fell asleep in the Lord Jesus Christ on April 25, 2015. She preceded in her sleep by her husband, Joseph Donald; father, Howard Avent; mother, Hattie (George) Officer; sister Rose M. Barnes and brother, Reginald Avent.

She is survived by her children of whom Mitchell Zachery preceded her in sleep; two adopted daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, cousins, nieces Ann (Nathaniel) Shaw and Hilda Inman, nephews, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and a host of friends.

Chink ... She was more than, "OUR MOM!"
She was a flower that never stopped blooming! She was an advisor who never stopped advising. She was an attentive listener. She was one who never stopped scolding "US"; something that we have appreciated more as we continued to grow. 619 Carver Avenue was
her headquarters. It was from this place that she gave love, true guidance, understanding and wisdom without judging; always accepting everyone. Chink was a women of stature in the community. She was and will always be "Our Matriarch!"

Evening Prayer. 0 God, as night comes, I long for peaceful sleep but the darkness is filled with my anxious and fearful thoughts. I take comfort from your words spoken through the Old Testament prophet, Isaiah:
Do not be afraid for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name, you are mine. Should you pass through the sea, I will be with you; Or through rivers, they will not swallow you up. Should you walk through fires, you will not be scorched and the flames will not burn you. For I am Yahweh, your God, your Savior ....
Because I love you, because you are precious in my eyes.

O God, bless me tonight with quiet, gentle rest. Let your face shine upon me. Let me wake tomorrow renewed in mind and body. Amen.
