Obituary:
Robert P. Scales, a loving and devoted husband and father peacefully departed this life on April 14 2015. He was born February 18, 1950 to Annie Well Scales and the late Preston Scales of Kirkland.

He was educated in the Williamson County School System and was a graduate of Tennessee State University. From there he worked at Sears Roebuck for several years as a division manager and Allstate Insurance Company for 30 years as an insurance agent. Now he is the owner of Mallory Lane Wine and Spirits and Scales Insurance Agency, where he brings smiles to the hearts of people he touched. Robert fulfilled all his dreams during his lifetime.

He accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Preston Scales; and brother, John Kirkland Scales.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Don Nita P. Scales. Robert and DonNita have been together for 49 years (married 39 years and dated 10 years). Robert is also survived by two devoted daughters, LaVieta Y. Scales and Felicia L. Scales; sisters, Josie Scales and Robbie (Milton) Moore; sister-in-law, Ed Wanda Adams; brother-in-law, Edward Parrish Jr.; devoted niece, Alexandria M. Adams; and a host of other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Robert will forever be remembered by his family, friends, and colleagues who are left here to celebrate his life.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot
change; courage to change the things I can; and the
wisdom to know the difference.
