She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St.Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Mother Annie received her education in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
She professed a hope in Christ at and early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Heally Jordan at Silver Springs Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in the choir faithfully for many years.
In 1964, Mother Annie with other fellow workers was a founder of Grace Missionary Baptist Church. She served as a member of the choir and became the President of the Mother's Board. She always made sure that her grandchildren attended Sunday school. She was an Honoree of the Hilltop- Rosenwald Historical Park.
Her husband, Walter Malone Sr., to which six children were born from this union, preceded her in death, as well as her sons, Ernest Malone St and Walter Malone Jr and son-in-law, Robert Mays.
Mother Annie leaves to cherish her memories sons; Ben Johnson, and Minister Joe (Janie) Frank Sr; daughters; Evangelist Ellen C. Mays and Annie Carlene (Thomas) Esmond; twenty grandchildren; forty-four great grandchildren; nineteen great- great grandchildren; five brothers; two sisters; one brother-in-law, James Sander; sister-in-law, Evelyn Walton; daughters-in-law, Viola Malone and Mary Francis Malone; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. |
