Early Monday morning on January 26, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, her soul winged its flight from this world to a place of peace and eternal rest after an extended illness.
She attended Chapel Hill Elementary School and Jones High School in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Nannie graduated in 1978, from the CNA Program at the State Area Vocational Technical School Shelbyville. She worked for Middle Tennessee Medical Center for seventeen years and later at the Tennessee Veterans Home for eight years as a Supervisor of Housekeeping until health failed her.
Nannie attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Chapel Hill and later joined Cedar Grove Primitive Baptist church under Elder Ronnie Russell,where she was a member of the Usher Board.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Ernest Elwood McMahon on June 1, 1963.
She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, and one grandson.
All the precious memories she left will be forever cherished by her loving husband on 51 years, Elwood McMahon; her children, Eddie Robinson, Chevelle Franklin, Emmanuel Pee Wee McMahon, and Robert Bob McMahon; thirteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; two sisters, Carrie Batten and Nora Coure; one brother, Ollie Earl Robinson; one daughter-in-law; one son in law; eight sisters in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. |
