Obituary:
Pearl Dalton was born December 15, 1945 in Pensacola, Florida. She was the only child born to David Lee and Lottie Ree Chatman. She entered into eternal rest on December 19, 2014 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Pearl was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended the Cincinnati Public Schools. She later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she met her future husband, George Dalton, and raised her three children. While in Cleveland, Pearl worked at the family owned record store, and later for the Gould Company. She and her family later moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she worked as a stock clerk for the Brentwood Kroger until her declining health forced her to retire. A devoted daughter, when her mother was unable to care for herself, Pearl tirelessly cared for her until her passing in 2009.

Pearl accepted Christ at a young age. She actively worshipped at a number of churches over the years until her declining health prevented her from regularly attending church service. A warm and compassionate lady, Pearl enjoyed traveling, spending time with her loved ones, and entertaining guests at her home. One of the greatest gifts that Pearl enjoyed giving to her family and friends was her home cooked meals. Similar to her mother, Pearl took great pride in her cooking, and she received great joy from cooking for others. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her four grandchildren. As young kids, whenever with "Granny," all four grandchildren could always count on fun and engaging jokes and conversations, lots of toys, good food to eat, and the always popular trip to Chuck E. Cheese.

Preceded in death by her parents, Pearl leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Dr. David (Dr. Yolando McGriff) Chatman of Murfreesboro, Yvette Dalton of Medford, Massachusetts and G. Derrick (Judge Angelita Blackshear) Dalton of Nashville; grandchildren, Imani Chatman, Aaron Brown, Ryan Dalton and Savannah McCoy; cousins, Reverend York Hayes, Dr. Andrew (Alicia) Hazley, Sr., Lawrence Hazley, Mark Hazley, Ernestine White, Pauline Embry, and Thelma Garner; special relative, Reverend Isaiah (Carmela) Dalton, devoted friend, Pam Webb; a host of other family and friends; and last, but not least, her dog, Bruno.
