Obituary:
Mary Ridley Clark was born on July 8, 1934 in Smyrna, Tennessee to the late Mildred Ridley and James Batten. She transitioned to her heavenly home on December 5, 2014 at her residence.

Momma accepted Christ Jesus and professed her belief in our Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend LeRoy McKinley at Silver Springs Church.

She has been recognized as one of the longest membership worshippers at Silver Springs. She was a faithful member of the #2 Choir and The Senior Usher Board.

Momma received her education in the Rutherford County School System.
Momma was married to the late Jesse D. Clark Sr. and to this union four children were born: Diane, William Bubba, Jesse Jr., and Stanley.

To all who knew her, Momma was a wonderful, loving, and kind daughter, wife, sister, mother, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend.

She held various jobs, from being a domestic worker as a maid, to a factory worker and being in Custodial Services at Smyrna High School, before retiring in 1977 to become a fulltime grandmother.

Momma leaves to cherish her loving memories, daughter, Diane Patterson of Lascassas, Tennessee; sons, William Clarence Clark, Jesse D. Clark Jr. of Smyrna, Tennessee and Reverend Stanley (Latorcia) Clark of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Meshawn, Torey (Luciana) Patterson, Melanie Patterson, Jesse (Latrice) Clark III, Timar Clark, Tori Brown, and Kody Brown; five great grandchildren, Paige, Tasani, Kaarlyn, Torey II, and Taylor; brother, James (Mary) Ridley of Kirkland, Tennessee; three aunts, Elizabeth McBurrows of Detroit, Michigan, Susie B. Ridley of Nashville, Tennessee and Carrie Batten of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; childhood cousins, who are like sisters, Elizabeth Harding and Janie Mae Smith; special loved one, Roger (Mary) Smith; devoted adopted daughter, Myrna Wilcox and Family; devoted friend, George Haynes; special friend, James E. Patterson; brothers-in-law, William (Dorothy) Malone Jr., and Branus Malone; sisters-in-law, Thelma Clark, Shirley Clark, Tina Malone, Nora Waters, Edith Moore, Gwendolyn Kerns, Phyllis (Reverend James) Lane, and Sara Clark; devoted but not forgotten cousins too numerous to name in Detroit, Michigan, Smyrna, Murfreesboro, Nashville, New York, and New Jersey, and many friends.

She loved you all.
