Obituary:
Barbara McClain Figgins was born on December 21, 1946 in Rutherford County Murfreesboro, Tennessee to the proud parents Frank and Queen Vester McClain. She transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on December 3, 2014.

Barbara professed hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined Olive Branch Church.

Receiving her education in the Rutherford County School System, she went on to further her education, having graduated at the top of her class from American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in Psychology.

Barbaras hobbies included cooking, listening to music, and reading.She loved devoting her time to serving others.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Jimmy L. Figgins; parents, Frank and Queen Vester McClain; brothers, Clarence A. and Michael McClain;sisters, Virginia McClain and Monica D. Dowdy; and great grandson,Ashton Edward Figgins.

She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Keith (Anne) Figgins
Sr., Kevin (Monica) Figgins Sr., and Keva (Quinton) Carrethers;
grandchildren, Keianna, JUamila, Jasmine, Keith Jr. Jade, Kevin Jr.,Keion, Jandaya, Schiablke, Deasia, and Shaquilla Carrethers; great grandchildren, Keiara, Kelis, and King; siblings, Lula Williams, Elbert (Mary) McClain, Frank McClain Jr., Thomas (Arlene) McClain, Linda (Willie Dean) Motley, and Stephen (Marquita) McClain; sister-in-law, Martha Annice Jackson; brother-in-law, Morris (Veronica) Jackson;devoted friends, Mary McGowen, Annie Murray, Juanita Blackman, and Frances F. Bryson; devoted niece, Deasia Carrethers (Taleah Wade); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
