Obituary:
After a long illness, Doris Ann Wade McAdoo departed this life on May 25, 2014.

Doris McAdoo was born on August 9, 1936. She was one of three siblings born to the late George W. Wade, Sr. and Gracie Rucker Wade Brown.

She accepted Christ at a very young age and was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Jerry Marable at the time of her passing. Doris truly loved the Lord and everything about the church. Doris was a member of the mother board and was active until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, John Allen McAdoo and step daughter, Betty S. Mathews, of Walter Hill, Tennessee; sister, Kathryn McCroskey; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Alexander.

Those left to cherish her memories are her 5 children, Valarie McAdoo, of Antioch, Tennessee, Allen (Gayle) McAdoo, George McAdoo, Anthony (Cathy) McAdoo, Anson (Vanessa) McAdoo, all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brother, George (Annette) Wade, Jr., of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Aaron McCroskey, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Arthur Alexander, of Lebanon, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren, Carol, Allen, Jr.(Kristy), Anthony, Jr., Lauren and Justice McAdoo; all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; 3 great grandchildren, Eriyan, Alexia and Henry, Jr.; 2 great aunts, Annie R. Zachery of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Janine W. Winfrey, of Memphis, Tennessee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
