Obituary:
Reverend Steve Nathaniel Claybrooks, Sr. was born April 3, 1936 to the late Solomon and Josie Early Claybrooks in Franklin, Tennessee. He went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Pollard, Clarence, Annie and Lula Claybrooks, and Janie Wade.

He married Mary Eliza Akins on June 4, 1960, and to this union four children were born.

He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In 1977, he united with Silver Springs Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Moses Pope. He served as an Usher, Deacon, and thereafter was ordained to become a Minister. In 1990, he united with Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Moses Pope and served as an Associate Minister and Sunday Superintendent. He was a faithful member until he became ill. He loved the Lord with all his heart.

He was employed with the McKnight Family for over 30 years and later became employed at Riverdale High School.

Reverend Claybrooks will be greatly missed by his family, adopted family, church family, and friends. He was a father and friend to everyone.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, devoted and loving wife of 53 years, Mother Mary Eliza Claybrooks; four children, Mary Mount, Sherry (Nathaniel) Clark, Steve Claybrooks, Jr., and Michael (Jacqueline) Claybrooks; sisters, Betty Collier and Mildred McAdoo; aunt, Hattie Christmon; brother-in-law, Ernest Akins; eleven grandchildren, Freneka Minter, Kendra Brown, Quashawna (Anthony) Seay, Byron (Joyceann) Smith, Brittney (Gavin) Moore, Davita Mount, Stephanie Cantrell, and Jeffery Mount; eleven great grandchildren, TraChonta Seay, Dedrianna Smith, Jy'Mya Seay, Tanazja Stiger, Jacarius Malone, DeShaun Smith, Sharaia Wade, Sy'Nya Seay, Ashton Moore, JaVonni Malone, and Tiana Moore; devoted god grandson, Orlando (Tajuana) Hayes & Family; and a host of very devoted nieces, nephews, and friends.
