Clifton Akins was born on January 30, 1959 to the union of Robert and Allene Akins in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

He attended the Bedford County Public School System.

Cliff proudly accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his life while attending Path of Life Ministries in October, 2012.

Cliff enjoyed over 20 years of working at Nissan Corporation, as well as being a professional driver for the AutoZone Company.

His passion was restoring vintage and muscle model cars, and riding motorcycles.

Cliff and Vanessa enjoyed a special ceremony, where they happily entered matrimony on January 26, 2013 at Path of Life Ministries.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Quinn "Termite" McMahon, and one brother, Michael Lynn "Tree" Akins, both of Shelbyville, Tennessee.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and caregiver, Vanessa Knox Akins; parents, Robert and Allene Akins, of Shelbyville, Tennessee; brothers, Daniel (Bernice) Akins, Nathaniel (Danielle) Akins, both of Murfreesboro, Carl, Alvin, Anthony, and Thomas (Kimberly) Akins, all of Shelbyville, Tennessee; step son, Kelly (Shelia) Davis of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; god daughter, Mykeia Swader of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two step daughters, Quanna Knox(Natron), and Ronetta Knox, both of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tamaria Knox, Te'Andrea Bigsby, Tatorrria Howse, Serena, Tytionna, Takiya, and Josiah Knox; special great granddaughter, Trinity Adams; a dedicated uncle, Howard Akins, and aunt, Queenie Woods, both of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a host of sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends; and devoted friend, Charles Dalton of the Nissan Corporation.
