Michael Wayne Clark, Sr. was born February 16, 1954 in Rutherford County to the late Ester Malone Clark and Clarence F. Clark, Sr. of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He departed this life June 4, 2013.

He gave his life to Christ in 1968 at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend John O. Jordan. In the summer of 2012, Michael rededicated his life to Christ at Murfreesboro Community Church under the leadership of Arthur L. Lewis. Michael loved to come and fellowship when his health permitted. Michael was a member of the Local American Legion.
He attended the public schools of Rutherford County. He attended Oakland where he was a great football player. In 1998 Michael was inducted into the Oakland High School Football Hall of Fame. He was an All Star Player.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Sylvia Malone, Nancy Wade Johnson and Margaret Clark Wade; brothers, Clarence Clark, Sr., George Batey, Joe W. Clark, Jesse D. Clark and Robert L. Clark; son, Chad Clark; granddaughter, Aquiria Cannon.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory, Ms. Sarah Denise Frazier Clark; sons, Michael W. (Liz) Clark, Jr., Clarence D. Clark, Steven O. (Montera) Clark and Thomas A. Clark; daughters, Renessa V. Turner, Andrea M. Clark, Adrian N. Clark and Angela L. Clark; godchildren, Damian Clark, Charles Clark and Jimmy Cantrell; seventeen grandchildren; sisters, Nora Clark Waters, Edith Clark Moore, Gwendolyn Clark Kern and Phyllis Clark (James) Lane; sisters-in-law, Thelma Clark of Nashville, Tennessee and Mary Clark of Smyrna, Tennessee; aunt, Annie Clark of Nashville, Tennessee; devoted friends, Randall Mitchell, Reggie Patterson, Raymond Peebles and J.T. Knox; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
