Irma Ceola Alexander was born on May 30, 1945 to the late, but proud parents, James Allen Clark and Mary Samell Miles Clark. She transitioned from this earthly life on January 6, 2013.

She received her education in the public school system of Rutherford County Tennessee.

She professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Smyrna, Tennessee, under the leadership of Reverend O.C. McClain. She served faithfully in the choir. During her lifetime, she traveled extensively to Colorado, New York, Washington, D.C., and London, England, and California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odie Alexander; and sister, Marcie Turner.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories four sisters, Marion (Eddie) Appleton of Smyrna, Tennessee, Mildred Banks, Sophia Clark, and Polly Johnson, all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brothers, Bruce Clark and Casey (Joyce) Clark, both of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two step-grandchildren, Halei and Kolby Peebles; devoted friends, Ralph Chafen, John Vaughn, Mary and Patsy, and her angel, Jocelyn Smotherman; sisters-in-law, Elodie (Tommy Lee) Batts and Gladys Alexander; neighbor, India; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
