Ms. Margaret Blevins of Murfreesboro made her transition from this life into eternal life Tuesday, November 27, 2012.

Margaret Wiggins Blevins was born February 28, 1920 in Spring Hill, Tennessee. At a delicate young age she lost her parents and was reared by her loving grandmother, Mag Kitrell.

Margaret received her education in the Williamson County School System and furthered her education by becoming a nurse. She touched many lives over the 50 years of nursing service, before retiring, at both the VA Hospital and NHC Healthcare.

At an early age she was baptized at Shorter Chapel AME Church in Franklin, Tennessee. After moving to Rutherford County Margaret attended Stones River United Methodist Church, and later Stones River Outreach Ministries, both under the leadership of Pastor William T. Gray, whom she considered a son.

She was married to Willie D. Wiggins and from this union six children were born, Willie Jr., Robert, Ronald, Lillie Mai, Sallie, and Georgia. She later married Henry Blevins and from this union one son was born, William.

Margaret enjoyed sharing her life with her family and friends, and took pleasure in cooking for everyone. She was one who, "Never met a stranger." As a "Strong Woman of Faith," a loving mother on the Mother's Board, one being active in her community, obtaining the sweet name as, "The Hat Lady," she leaves behind a wonderful legacy of her life: one of Faith and love.

She leaves to cherish her memories sons, Willie Wiggins, Jr., Robert L. Wiggins, Ronald (Sandra) Wiggins, and William (Courtney) Blevins; daughters, Lillie Mai Alexander, Sallie McCulloum and Georgia Covington; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 37 great-great grandchildren; special niece, Martha "Butch" Lockridge; devoted friends, Margaret Griffin and William and Beverly Turner; a host of other family members and friends.
Please keep the family of Ms. Margaret Blevins in your thoughts and prayers.
