Visitation With The Family: 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 Scales & Sons Chapel Memorial Celebration: 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 Scales & Sons Chapel Obituary: Mr. Arthur L. Swader, age 81, of Murfreesboro made his transition from this earthly life to eternal life on Saturday, November 10, 2012.
Arthur Lee Swader, Sr. was born to John Wesley and Mattie Swader on October 3, 1931 in Rutherford County, Tennessee. He departed this life on Saturday, November 10, 2012.
He was employed with Middle Tennessee State University for 25 years. Arthur Lee, as he was known by many, had an infectious laugh and was known for telling jokes. He had a great love for his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "POPS". Watching westerns on television was one of his favorite pastimes, especially Gunsmoke.
Arthur was one of 19 children, of which many have preceded him in death, along with his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Lee Bell Swader; 11 children, Arthur Lee (Karen) Swader, Jr., Lynner Eugene Swader, Jerry D. Swader, Dorothy Aline Collier, Cindy E. Swader, Deloris A. Swader, Shirley Preston, Timmy Ray Swader, Sandra Louise Knox, Antonio Jerome Swader and Troy Tyrando Swader; siblings, Sam (Nellie) Swader, Gentry Lee Swader, Robert Swader, Sue (Luther) Elder and Mattie Lou Swader; sisters-in-law, Margaret, Viola, Maggie, of Ohio, Pearl (William) Muse, and Vera (Richard) Crawford; brother-in-law, Clarence (Julie) Elder; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will be missed by all of us, including his four cats.
We, the Swader family, look forward to the day when the words found in the Bible at Revelation 21:4 becomes a reality. It states: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Please keep the family of Mr. Swader in your thoughts and prayers. |
