Memorial Service: 10:00 am on Saturday, October 6, 2012 Scales & Sons Chapel Obituary: Major M. King was born on April 14, 1932 to Ora Belle Brown in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He departed this earthly life on September 28, 2012.
Major attended the public school system in Rutherford County. Major later enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ora Belle Brown, and son-in-law, Paul Malone.
Major leaves to cherish his memories two devoted daughters, Connie Malone and Orthea King; sons, Ralph (Jacquline) King, Ronnie Rankins, Bennie King, Major (Walburga) King, Jr.; two sisters, Coralene Harris of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Faye Hendricks of Nashville, Tennessee; one brother, Al (Debbie) Brown of Battle Creek, Michigan; one devoted uncle, Benny B. King of Indianapolis, Indiana; 23 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; devoted companion, Gracie Mount, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. |
