Mary Henrietta Lester-Mount was born July 1, 1947 in Rutherford County, Tennessee to George W. Lester, Sr. and Alberta Murray-Lester.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age uniting with Rockvale Original Church of God, Rockvale, Tennessee under the leadership of Sister Fannie Lowe and later, Reverend Bernard Luster.

Mary was educated in the Rutherford County School System, and was a 1965 graduate of Holloway High School. She later attended Wayne County Community College. Shortly after graduating from high school she married Harrison Mount and about a year later moved to Detroit, Michigan where she has lived for the past forty six (46) years. To this union three children were born, and she was a loving and caring homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, George W. Lester, Sr. and Alberta Lester-Biggers; sister, Catherine Belle Lester-Hagans; grandmother, Henrietta Murray-Greene; and nephew, Gregory Randolph.

Mary is survived by her loving and devoted children, daughter, Kimberly Mount of Detroit, Michigan; sons, Harrison Mount, Jr. of Terrell, Texas, and Christopher Mount (fiancé, Mary Lou Sierra) of San Antonio, Texas; their father, Harrison Mount, Sr. of Detroit, Michigan; grandson, Maurice Mount of San Antonio, Texas; brothers and sisters, George (Lilly) Lester of Nashville, Tennessee, James (Carolyn) Lester, Fannie Randolph, Marie (Vernon) Humes, all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; uncle, Richard (Odessa) Murray of Shelbyville, Tennessee; aunt, Lucille Smith of Chicago, Illinois; devoted cousins, Ray Murray and Niecy Patton; devoted sister-in-law, Linda Ferguson; devoted friends, Juanita Williams and Bonnie Houston; and a host of nieces , nephews and friends.
