Arthur Walker was born October 29, 1906 to the late Neal and America Walker in Marianna, Arkansas. He was the fourth of five children, all of whom preceded him in death. He accepted Christ at an early age at Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Arthur was reared in Marianna, Arkansas where he attended school and farmed. He united in Holy Matrimony to Julia Lee (who preceded him in death) at an early age. He was the father of three children, Eva, Andrew (who preceded him in death) and Lillie.

In later years, Arthur moved to Cleveland, OH, where he met and married Edith Horton (who preceded him in death). He was employed at Cleveland Clinic Hospital until retirement.

After retirement, Arthur returned to his favorite past time - growing vegetable gardens and sharing with the neighborhood. Arthur also chauffered senior citizens around the Cleveland area to shopping malls and doctors' appointments. He was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church and was a faithful usher for many years. He loved reading and his favorite book to read was the Bible.

In the later years, Arthur joined his daughters in Murfreesboro, TN and became a member of First Baptist Church. He was a faithful member until his health failed.

Arthur made his transition on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Eva (Jimmy) Woodson, Lillie Hill, all of Murfreesboro, TN; eight grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
