Arthur was reared in Marianna, Arkansas where he attended school and farmed. He united in Holy Matrimony to Julia Lee (who preceded him in death) at an early age. He was the father of three children, Eva, Andrew (who preceded him in death) and Lillie.
In later years, Arthur moved to Cleveland, OH, where he met and married Edith Horton (who preceded him in death). He was employed at Cleveland Clinic Hospital until retirement.
